Session 5 features a Larrivée DV05 acoustic guitar on 33 large diaphragm condenser microphones, including 5 tube mics. Most of these mics would be considered "budget", and all are priced under $1000.

All mics were positioned approximately 12" away from the twelfth fret of the guitar. The height of the mic diaphragms were lined up with the neck.

The microphone preamplifier used on the session is an ELBERG MP8 and all tracks were recorded with a high-pass filter on the ELBERG at 90Hz.
